We already created and launched a website last week. No hoo-ha, we needed somewhere to place our prize information and a website was the most obvious place, none of our other platforms really suitable.
We concentrated on the newsletter, or rather, a lot of mixed emotions about creating such a promise of content to our potential subscribers. Ethics. I couldn't do it until I had content I thought reasonable to impose on people. I mean, we've already exploded into the lives of those who will let us in!
What to write? What to write? What to call the newsletter? More naming, more designs, more interaction with our community, in and around living the not-so-simple simple life. With deadline looming things started to come together. I did have content, I did have a reason to communicate, and then I had to work out the platforms of this challenge: MailChimp and Google Analytics.
Almost done. Refer back to the Challenge 4 Help Sheet and check-box number 7 for this week tells me we've already failed as we need to have attracted 50+ fans on each platform. Fifty subscribers with only three and three-quarter hours until the deadline after publishing this website with subscriber and analytics information available? No can do. Google tells me it can take 24-48 hours for information to become available! Failed. Before submission.
